Four Michigan Teens Killed in Rollover

A few days short of graduation, four teens were killed in a rollover accident. The cause of the accident remains unclear.

“It’s tough and brutal news for a close-knit community to find out about these deaths,” said Darren Monroe of Litigation Funding Corporation, Michigan.

Initially, it was reported that three individuals had died. The fourth made it to the hospital alive but subsequently died of his injuries. There was a fifth young teen also involved in the accident whose condition remains unknown.

This accident raised a number of questions for the police, such as who was driving, were they under the influence of drugs or alcohol, were they texting while driving, were they speeding, was the vehicle in poor mechanical condition or was there another car involved that caused them to drive off the road? While answers to these questions will help close the case, it will not bring any peace to the parents of the dead teens.

In an instance like this, it is essential the parents seek legal counsel to find out what rights they have in this situation. Could they file a wrongful lawsuit? Chances are they could if, as in most wrongful death cases, negligence is present. In many rollover cases, there is negligence of some sort, whether it’s driver negligence or negligence due to a mechanical failure or defective part.

Once the five families have consulted a good personal injury lawyer, they may want to find out more about accessing lawsuit funding in order to help them cover expenses until the case is resolved. When a tragedy like this happens, it is difficult enough to cope with the loss. The last thing grieving families need is to deal with all of the financial obligations from legal and medical bills to funeral and burial expenses. “Few people have that kind of money on hand right away. Litigation funding may be the perfect answer for people who find themselves in this situation,” said Monroe.

Litigation funding, also known as pre-settlement funding or a lawsuit loan, is sent to qualified plaintiffs that have applied for funding. Once the case is assessed and approved, the lawsuit cash advance is sent directly to the plaintiff’s bank account to cover costs while they wait for the trial or a settlement. Litigation funding arrives quickly, within 24 to 28 hours, and helps plaintiffs deal with unforeseen expenses associated with an accident.
