Driver Arrested in Hit-and-Run ATV Crash

September 14, 2016

A 30-year-old Oregon woman is speaking out after an ATV crash left her with a traumatic brain injury and her 27-year-old boyfriend dead.

Police said the couple was hit by another ATV in Winchester Bay over the Labor Day weekend. The woman was thrown 40 feet. She was taken to the hospital, where she spent nearly a week with a collapsed lung, broken ribs, fractured face, among other injuries — some which will affect her the rest of her life. She remembers nothing of the crash. Her boyfriend died at the scene.

The negligent driver and two passengers stopped briefly, before abandoning their ATV and fleeing the scene. The driver was apprehended a few days later and faces manslaughter, assault and hit-and-run charges. He died knowing anything about the crash. One passenger was cited for hindering prosecution. The other was not charged, but told deputies that he had been drinking with the driver before the crash.

If you or a loved one has been involved in an ATV accident as a result of negligent driver, you may able to seek fair compensation for your injuries. Going through a lawsuit can takes a long time to reach a settlement. While your attorney is working to obtain full case value, you may be suffering not only from the injuries that you have endured, but because you need money as the mortgage, medical expenses, funeral expenses, and other bills keep coming. This is where litigation funding can be a very welcome solution.

Litigation funding is where the plaintiff sells a portion of the case proceeds in exchange for immediate cash. This is a non-recourse cash advance, meaning that it is only repaid when the case successfully settles. If the case is lost, there is no repayment.

While litigation funding is not for everyone, it is a perfect solution for plaintiffs who are unable to secure a traditional bank loan, obtain funds from relatives, or have salable assets. We don’t require a credit check or employment verification. The only factors important to us is that you have attorney representation on a contingency basis and that you have a strong case.

Litigation Funding Corporation is an industry leader with the fastest approval process. Our online application takes less than 5 minutes to complete. We will provide a free case evaluation and if approved for funding, have cash in your hands within 24 – 48 hours.

If you are experiencing financial hardship as a result of an ATV accident which occurred through no fault of your own, don’t let the financial stress of pursuing compensation through the legal system force you to accept an early settlement offer. Litigation Funding Corporation can help by providing you with a lawsuit cash advance and give you the financial staying power to allow your attorney the additional time necessary to maximize your award or settlement.
