Bridge the Gap While You Await Settlement

February 8, 2017

Waiting for your personal injury case to settle can be very difficult financially and mentally. Injuries may prevent you from earning a living to support your families. Without sufficient savings, you will most likely have a hard time paying medical expenses, the mortgage/rent, or even put food on the table. When family and friends cannot help, Litigation Funding Corporation can.

A man sustained serious injuries when his vehicle was rear-ended and pushed into oncoming traffic, where he was hit head-on by another vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with a concussion and a knee injury; he underwent several months of physical therapy, leaving him unable to work. The police report indicated that the driver that rear-ended him was negligent of driver distraction and speeding, but that did not prevent the insurance company from denying, delaying, and defending the claim.

Often times it takes months, even years for an auto accident lawsuit to reach a conclusion. For someone with pressing financial needs, waiting is not an option. As long as the case is strong and the plaintiff has attorney representation, litigation funding is usually an option.

Litigation funding, a cash advance, not a loan, is provided on a non-recourse basis. This means that repayment would be made once the case settles but if the case is lost, the plaintiff would be under no obligation to repay the cash advance.

Our goal is to make sure that plaintiffs are able to support themselves until their case reaches a settlement. This means funding decisions have nothing to do with one’s credit history or employment status, and there are no out-of-pocket fees. Once we receive a lawsuit cash advance request, we will work with the plaintiff’s attorney to review case documents and determine the amount we can advance. This typically takes place in less than 48 hours.

If you were involved in an auto accident, suffered injuries and can’t borrow money from a bank, friend, or family, you may benefit from a non-recourse lawsuit cash advance. Contact Litigation Funding Corporation. Our experienced staff can answer your questions and help you with your cash needs.

Two Families Filed Lawsuit in Palm Springs Tour Bus Fatal Crash

October 31, 2016

The families of two victims in last week’s deadly bus crash near Palm Springs have a filed lawsuit against the bus company and the estate of the bus driver. The suit claims the bus driver failed to travel at a safe speed and failed to brake to avoid the crash. It also claims that the bus was not properly maintained

Thirteen people were killed and 31 others injured after the bus slammed into the back of a big rig. The bus was carrying 44 passengers who were returning from a trip to the casino. The driver was one of the owners of the bus company, which typically ferries people from LA to nearby casinos. The impact pushed the trailer about 15 feet into the bus. It took nearly two hours to separate the vehicles.

The National Transportation Safety Board this week said the bus did not comply with vehicle safety standards because two of its eight tires lacked sufficient tread. As a federal probe into the crash continues, an attorney for the plaintiffs said that there is also reason to believe that the tractor trailer driver may be at fault. According to a witness, I-10 was shut down in both directions and the truck was parked in an active lane with the headlights off when the crash occurred. There were no flashing lights; all that was illuminating was the parking brakes. The investigation is ongoing; the families’ attorneys are simultaneously conducting an independent investigation.

Wrongful death cases are never easy for the families of the deceased, but filing them may serve to provide necessary financial resources for support in the absence of a family breadwinner. Although a lawsuit will not bring a loved one back, it may provide the added benefit of reducing the chances that a similar occurrence will happen to someone else. While awaiting the resolution of a wrongful death lawsuit, the deceased’s family may have difficulties making ends meet. In a lawsuit setting, this type of financial distress is often alleviated when a family seeks litigation funding.

Litigation funding can help provide the means for a victim’s loved ones to get through the long haul of a wrongful death lawsuit without feeling pressured to settle due to financial burdens. Instead, they can allow their attorney to reach a fair settlement, more representative of the true extent of damages.

After receiving a funding application and applicable case documentation, Litigation Funding Corporation can typically make a funding decision in less than 24 hours because we do not require a credit check or employment verification. Funding is based solely on the strength of the case being offered as collateral. Funding also comes with zero risk for the plaintiff. Repayment of the cash advance is only made when the case successfully settles. If the plaintiff loses, the cash advance is waived in its entirety. There are also no specific restrictions on how the money is used.

If a loved one was fatally injured by the negligence or wrongdoing of another and you have filed a lawsuit but struggling financially to see your case through to the end, you may qualify for litigation funding against the future proceeds of your claim. A Lawsuit Cash Advance Helps Lessen the Financial Burden During Pending Medical Malpractice Cases

October 4, 2016

A 75-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in her leg. She was treated and released days later; a blood thinner was prescribed. Less than a week later, the woman woke up in the middle of the night with excruciating pain in her hip and groin area. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Although doctors performed no testing, the woman was diagnosed with a musculoskeletal pain attributed to her earlier blood clot, and she was subsequently discharged to a nursing home. A day after arriving at the nursing home, a staff member found the woman in hemorrhagic shock. She was rushed back to the emergency room but ultimately died six weeks later.
Her family filed a lawsuit alleging that the doctor failed to timely diagnose and treat what turned out to be a retroperitoneal hematoma (an accumulation of blood in the portion of the abdomen called the retroperitoneal space). After a six-day trial the jury awarded in favor of the plaintiff.

Nothing can ever replace the loss of a loved one, but Litigation Funding Corporation is happy that the family of the deceased was able to seek justice. While we don’t know their financial situation, this case would have been eligible for litigation funding.

Many plaintiffs often face financial hardship as their bills continue to pile up, during a lengthy litigation process. Litigation Funding Corporation can provide a lawsuit cash advance and help plaintiffs receive some of the proceeds from the case now.

A lawsuit cash advance helps lessen the financial burden until a settlement can be reached. Without the pressure to settle, the attorney has time to obtain just compensation. This type of financing is not provided against assets; rather it is against the potential settlement of the case. That means there is no need for a credit check or employment verification. The cash advance is simply repaid once the case successfully settles. Had this plaintiff applied for, and received, litigation from us and lost her case, we would have completely waived repayment of the cash advance. That is because we assume all the risks when funding clients.

If you have lost a loved one due to medical negligence, filed a lawsuit, and looking for immediate cash while waiting for your case to settle, you may be able to obtain a lawsuit cash advance. Contact Litigation Funding Corporation or complete our online contact form. You could receive financial assistance within 24 – 48 hours.

Litigation Funding Can Correct Financial Complications during a Pending Lawsuit

November 25, 2014

Drowsy driving is a serious problem on our roadways. Unfortunately, drivers often underestimate this risk and overestimate their ability to combat drowsiness behind the wheel. When this happens, serious and fatal accidents can occur. If a family is faced with the death of a loved one, they may be able to seek compensation for the damages including funeral costs, expected income, pain and suffering, and loss of companionship to the deceased’s family. After filing a wrongful death lawsuit, the family may be able to apply for, and receive, litigation funding.

A devastating head-on accident resulted in three fatalities after a vehicle being driven by a 31-year-old man struck a semi-truck head-on. According to police, it appears the driver of the vehicle ran off the road, but then over-corrected trying to get back and slammed into the truck. The driver and two passengers were killed instantly. Although the investigation is ongoing, it appears that driver fatigue was a factor.

Victims who were injured or lost a loved one due to a drowsy or fatigued driver, should consult an experienced personal injury attorney who can review the case and determine if the victim is entitled to pain and suffering damages, loss of income damages, medical or funeral costs, and even punitive damages. An automobile accident can be very complex and in some situations it can take years before a settlement is reached. For many plaintiffs litigation funding may help supplement loss of income, pay medical and/or funeral expenses, pay down debt, and cover everyday living expenses in order to wait for fair compensation. With the financial pressure removed, there is no need to resolve any case for less than the full value of your injuries.

The application process is quick and easy because the only requirement is a pending lawsuit with merit and a serious financial need. There is no cost to apply, no upfront fees, no monthly payments, no credit checks and no hassles. Once a plaintiff is approved for funding, the money arrives fast, typically within 24-48 hours. Funding is provided on a non-recourse basis, so if the plaintiff loses the case, there is no obligation to pay us back. The process is really that simple.

If you have lost a loved one due to the negligence of another driver, Litigation Funding Corporation recommends you consult an experienced auto accident attorney to understand your rights. Once you retain an attorney and file a wrongful injury lawsuit, if you are facing financial devastation, consider litigation funding. Contact Litigation Funding Corporation today for a free consultation or to complete an application.
