Tractor-Trailer Meets Small SUV-Head On-Death is the Result

April 19, 2010

Anytime a vehicle tangles with a tractor-trailer, someone gets seriously hurt or killed.

This case involves a small SUV and a tractor-trailer meeting head-on. Predictably, the crash killed the man driving a Honda CRV. The driver, 70 year old Darryl Rice was traveling south on the highway when for some reason he suddenly veered left of the center line and collided with the northbound 18-wheeler. The trucker, Rolado Stroud, was driving the 1997 Freightliner.

A coroner attended the scene and pronounced Rice dead. He had been wearing a seat belt and so had the truck driver, who was uninjured. While emergency crews were cleaning up the automobile accident scene, the police started asking questions about why the accident had happened in the first place.

Witnesses indicated that they road conditions were fine and there was nothing in the road that would have caused Rice to veer into oncoming traffic. This would of course raise questions about the car Rice was driving and whether or not there was a mechanical failure of some kind to cause the car to swerve over the center line; something like the problem with Toyota vehicles.

Once those details are sorted out, the Rice family might want to consider filing a wrongful death lawsuit to recover compensation for the loss of their grandfather, father, husband and brother. Wrongful death cases are not easy to try, and they do take a long time to be resolved. In the meantime, the Rice family has been left in a bind financially.

They might want to do research into the possibility of qualifying for a lawsuit cash advance to tide them over until a settlement is reached or a verdict handed down by the courts. Lawsuit funding is specifically designed to let the plaintiff be able to pay their immediate bills and have money on hand for future expenses as they wait for their case to be dealt with and over.

Litigation funding is often a very good option for people like the Rice’s who would be between a rock and a hard place without this case funding option and may have to take pennies on the dollar for a case worth more. Lawsuit funding is usually ready to go when the plaintiff is ready to apply and may arrive in as little as 48 hours. Why worry about money when a lawsuit cash advance would ease the burden immediately? The application process is simple. The advice is free.
